Welcome to the expanded 2012 website!

Now in it’s 11th year, “David  Brown Parts” was inspired by many friends asking me where I sourced the parts used in my own restorations.

Over the past years we have built up working relationships with many suppliers who fully appreciate that quality and reliability of supply are paramount.

David Brown tractors were developed by good, old fashioned, British craftsmen. Such craftsmen still exist, and we do our best to seek them out in order to provide our parts. Indeed, many parts are sourced within a 50 mile radius of our base.

Ross - on - Wye has traditionally been a centre for rubber mouldings, so most of these, and some gaskets, are made on our doorstep!

Springs come from the traditional spring making town of Redditch, castings from Bristol, and Cropmaster seat cushion sets, one of the first products offered in 2001, are built by traditional craftsmen in Gloucestershire.

However, it is virtually impossible to produce complex metal pressings in the UK at an acceptable cost, due to the relatively low volume requirements. Consequently, our exclusive range of Implematic and Selectamatic bonnet nosecones are sourced from a small manufacturer in India. Our UK supplier visits India reularly to ensure that the parts are made exactly as original. Please note, however, that we do not supply bonnet top sections or complete bonnets, due to the cost of shipping.

At the time of writing , there are a number of projects at the development stage. Unlike many tractor parts suppliers, we do not shy away from producing small volume items.

New items produced during the past year include “Chaff Screens” for Super Cropmasters,

“ Bullet Hole” grilles for late VAK1’s, ignition switch plates and a wider range of water pumps.

So do look regularly at the website for new items and updates!

We are resolved to keep the website moving forward. We now have images of most of our parts, and a Photo Gallery showcasing our events and shows we attend has been added.

As a further service to our customers,  we are now open from 9 am to 1 pm, on the first Saturday in every month!
